You never know when life can throw you a curveball.  It threw me one in August of 2016.  I was healthy and active and felt completely normal until over a few weeks this started to change.  

I lost all feeling on the left side of my body from my fingertips to my toes.  What I discovered is that auto-immune diseases are sneaky.  The cause of my numbness turned out to be a diagnosis of MS or Multiple Sclerosis.  This is just one of the many autoimmune diseases. 

Since then, I’ve been on a mission to improve my health and to research ways or things that I could have done to perhaps prevent this disease from developing.  

This became so important to me because when my symptoms developed, I was fairly healthy. I was the proper weight with a moderate exercise routine, so losing the feeling in my body over a course of 10 days didn’t make sense.  Especially when I felt fine.

This opened my eyes even more because I realized, feeling fine, doesn’t necessarily mean what is going on inside your body is fine.  Obviously, for me, it wasn’t.

If this was the case for me, could this also be true for my family members, husband, and two kids?

This started my quest for answers.

Everything I have read on the health of your body comes down to what you put in your body and how you treat your body.  Food, exercise, stress levels, sleep, etc…

As I researched, I wanted to share what I had found and thus this website was born.  This website is for anyone who wants to make sure they are the healthiest that they can be. 

There is no one size fits all either.   What works for one person may not work for another so I’ve just compiled articles and ideas to help everyone find what works for them.

My family has now been subject to my research and our lifestyle has changed as a result.  

Sometimes with diet, it is trial and error to find out what your body tolerates best.

But I want you to know, this website is not just for MS.  It is for overall general health, which can help prevent or improve the hundreds of autoimmune diseases, cancers, diabetes, and other ailments we are all prone to.

Please know that I am not a doctor, but I do my research, however always check with your physician before you start a new product or program.

This is my first attempt at sharing my knowledge and research so all feedback is appreciated.
