How To Stay Youthful
One of the keys to staying youthful is weight training.
Hear what nutritionist and Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist, Brad Pilon, has to say in the article below:
It is obvious to me that weight training is the secret to long-lasting youth.
Yes, genetics and diet and stretching and meditation and stress levels all play a part… But when I look at the one factor that seems to be the unifying link among the people I know who are “defying” the laws of aging, it is consistent weight training.
It’s not ALL they do, but it is the one thing that sets them apart.
We don’t need to become fitness freaks or dedicate our lives to the gym. We also don’t need to become obsessed with being strong or any of the common stereotypes that come with weight training, but we do need to lift.
Into our 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond, we should do our best to make some sort of weight training a priority.
Two to three times per week we should challenge our muscles by using a high amount of effort. <– That’s all it takes.
Kind Regards,
Brittany and Cal Bryan
